A SUPERB AND VERY RARE COLD PAINTED METAL NODDER NAUGHTY CAT AND KITTEN BEING SPANKED ON A BENCH WITH A BROOM, BY HEYDE OF GERMANY DATING TO C1900 - NODDERS LIKE THESE ARE EXTREMELY RARE!!! This is just a very rare and very unusual figure made by the German company Heyde around the turn of the last century. The figure is made of pot metal and cold painted and is created as a nodder in which the head of the adult cat bobs. These early nodders are extremely rare and collectible. The cat holds a broom and spanks the naughty kitten. It has fantastic detail and the cats both have magnificent expressive faces! The nodding mechanism works beautifully.
