    Description

I have just moved from my house in NJ where I was a big collector of a variety of objects to outfit my big Victorian. Now that we have moved to Florida, there is just no way to keep so many things.
    Description
    :
The Marion Bronze Company was established in 1922, based in Metuchen, NJ, and made Galvano bronzes. It's no small wonder that I bought these at auction some 5 miles away from that and 10 miles from where I lived.
The bronze lamp is a snow owl sitting on a stack of books.
At the time of listing, I am also putting up for sale the matching bookends.
This includes the original lamp shade which is a bronze-colored paper shade.
With the shade, measures 20" in height.  The base of the bronze is 5" x 5".
The lamp has an extra base as compared to the bookends.
The “MB” mark is on the back of the piece.
    Has original felt bottom.
The family has a very interesting blog they put together. Here's a little excerpt about the factory. I've added a photo of the original catalog (also from this family's blog).
The factory building measured 28 feet by 64 feet and included plaster casting room, facilities for the necessary heated wax bath, equipment for spray painting, two large open floor tanks for electroforming (a type of electroplating) the plaster castings hanging in a copper sulfate and acid solution, equipment for grinding, buffing and oxidizing, equipment for toning (shading / antiquing), the necessary electrical current conversion equipment, converting line AC current to DC for electroforming, and the packing / shipping area.
    Condition
    :
Both owl has a slightly warn left ear
There is another small mark on one of the feathers which I highlight in the photo.
I apologize ahead of time for the cost of shipping. I only ship USPS Priority as they supply the boxes and do better with arriving safely.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
PS:  I can certainly do combined shipping if you also order the matching lamp.
